Catfish trips on the Santee River

5 hour trip starting about 2 hours before sunset. We fish for Big cats from 20 to 85 pounds on fairly light tackle (this makes for a large time).

Although Santee Lakes are known world wide for catfishing, the north and south
Santee rivers are over looked hot spots for the large catfish. Running though
the Cypress swamps and the coastal wetlands as the make their way to the
ocean, these rivers are the tailwaters of those great lakes.
